We should fight ISIS and the taliban...let somebody else do this assad stuff if they want.

ABC News claimed the US would just target Syrian aircraft and possibly Command-and-Control.

There are enough Syrian Air Force targets to send the proper message without targeting Command-And-Control...

Though ABC painted, I mean showed, a building in Syrian Capital that would be a good target...
