A man has been charged in connection with a South Shore neighborhood shooting last week that left four people dead.
Maurice Harris, 19, faces four counts of first-degree murder, according to Chicago Police. A press conference was scheduled for Wednesday morning to release further details.
About 3:30 p.m. last Thursday, a shooter walked into Nadia Fish and Chicken at the corner of 75th and Coles and opened fire, according to family members of the victims.
Emmanuel C. Stokes, 28, and Edwin Davis, 32, were fatally shot inside the restaurant, authorities said.
Two other men, 19-year-old Raheem Jackson and his 20-year-old brother Dillon Jackson, ran from the restaurant as gunfire erupted, but both were fatally shot in different parking lots within a block of the restaurant, authorities said.
Dillon and Raheem Jackson had gone to the restaurant to visit their mother, who has worked there for eight years, according to their grandmother, Georgia Jackson. She said she lost another grandson to gun violence in 2011.
I cant keep doing this, Georgia Jackson said. Im losing too many kids.
They were among seven victims slain in a 12-hour burst of violence that happened within eight blocks of each other in the neighborhood.

Stop voting for Democrats, then. Just sayin’.
Man, I hate it when I get shot in my parking lot ... it takes a long time to heal, you know.
She- and others like her- could also stop raising criminals. They don’t come from Alpha Centauri-they come from YOU!!
“She said she lost another grandson to gun violence in 2011.”
Sorry for your loss, Ma’am, but that would be “thug violence” not “gun violence.”
No power or influence (money) to be gained by making something of just another black on black murder so let’s move along.
That is so sad for the mother of the victims. She has held a steady job for eight years at this chicken shack, working hard for her family to see it lost in this horror. How do you get the strength, lady, to keep going year after year amidst this wasteland you call home?
The whites are not to blame for this. There is nothing anyone outside the community can do. Those who suffer this violence are going to have to get angry to the point of "I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!"
Where are Al, Jesse, Calypso Louie, Emanuel and all the other Cash Sucking Dims?
You can bet, not in Chicagostan
