Trump has quite a few openings at the Fed now.

Plus Yellen’s term expires in 2018.

Somebody must have given him the age old advice - quit or be fired.

Trump has quite a few openings at the Fed now.

Fed Bank presidents are not presidential appointees.

Plus Yellen’s term expires in 2018.

As Fed Chair. Her term on the Fed Board of Governors doesn't expire until 2024. She could stay.

These kinds of things make me think twice about my opposition to the death penalty.

At least, until I realize the law will never be applied properly to people like this. Hope a vigilante group burns him alive or something appropriate like that.

They’re sociopaths. Political power is much much much more addictive than say something like cocaine.

“No charges will be filed.”

I think the first people we need to look at are the people not filing charges.

Back around 1980 a bar buddy would tell me the unemployment numbers the night before they were released... not that I could do anything with that info.
....but I would bet adult beverages were involved with this leak.

So... what?

We prosecute the analyst, throw his ass in prison, and the Fed President gets his triple-gold-plated retirement package and heads for the Outer Banks and a permanent vacation? That's the usual denouement, n'est-ce pas?

He was planning on retiring as of October 1st. He just started it five months early.

Not clear the analyst did anything wrong or improper here at all.

WTF! One would think if the AG would prosecute a few of these POS criminal bureaucrats and the DC elected officials for braking the law instead of allowing them to just resign (Lois Lerner) it just might create a deterrent for people in those kinds of positions to not brake the law.

an elected official speaking; "yes, I had those guys murdered, so what, I quit" /s.

the US crony legal system is and has been an effing joke and this incident proves the point.

Trump needs to enforce the law to its fullest extent or the DC swamp will continue to grow and will consume or eliminate him before too long.

As far as I'm concerned they could deep six her tomorrow.

She is nothing more than the kindly old grandmother image, used as a facade, who does "doublespeak" better than Alan Greenspan.

“quit or be fired.”

most likely “quit or go to prison”.
