Don’t give them bullet-proof vests! Lock them up in little cages so that when the grow up they will know what their future homes will be like.
A very sensible solution, buy all of the kids and everyone else in Chicago “bullet proof” vests. Have the police write fines for anyone found to be NOT WEARING their city government provided bullet proof vest. Thus we protect the people and raise money from fines levied on those who don’t wear them.
(please note I’m being sarcastic, though the current city government might actually do this)

Amazing how that is rejected by those thinking “get your kids a bulletproof vest” and other deranged coping notions of the Left. Basic principle of self-defense and self-sufficiency regarding bad situations: DON’T BE THERE. Horrible murder rate? Food deserts? No opportunities?
