Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) opposes Judge Neil Gorsuch’s nomination to the Supreme Court, a decision that risks the ire of gun owners and other conservatives in deep-red Montana when Tester stands for reelection next year.

In a written statement, Jon Tester claimed that Gorsuch would be part of the spread of “dark money” and would inject the Court “between women and their doctors.”

2018 is the year to beat Tester! He has won twice by very narrow margins.

Deep red Montana....didn’t they just express outrage that sharia law not be allowed in their state?

Go to it dude....You're wasting your breath. One way or another, Gorsuch will be confirmed.

And if the Dems were smart, they'd give him 80 votes...to create good will. I know...silly...

Agree. Appears he’s paying his dues to his future K Street employer.

Then Tester should open his fat, wide mouth.
He is going to have a nuke shoved down his throat.

And then get his a$$ beat in Montana.

The Reid rule declared “FU minority party” - the situations where they used it are consequences of the rule, not limits. They don’t like their own rules used against them but it better happen if needed.

Ds can’t be allowed to weasel out of the Reid rule by saying “it doesn’t apply to the supreme court”. The full statement is “it doesn’t apply to the supreme court because we haven’t needed to use it for a supreme court nominee yet”.

What the hell is going on with Montana? Didn’t the “d”’s there just vote down a bill banning sharia law?

Montana, in 1994, reelected Conrad Burns.

It was the first time Montana had ever reelected a Republican Senator.

Tester beat Burns in 2006.

Perhaps Senator Daines will be our second Republican Senator to be reelected.

The pussified filibuster rule the Senate now has does not require a real filibuster.

The senator just has to say “I declare a fillibuster.”

Then they can all adjourn for the day and go out for dinner and drinks.

McConnell could put a stop to this democrat party showboating nonsense by simply leading the republican majority to change the filibuster rules back to the old way of actually having to filibuster by standing there talking until you collapse or give it up.

If democrats want to screw up the works with a filibuster make them actually filibuster.

Then let democrats showboat until they can’t or won’t fillibuster anymore.

When they stop have the up or down vote where a simple majority rules.

I do not understand that. Is there an influx of Californians? Ranchers and farmers supporting the dem platform? That’s just weird

Just do it Tester, don’t write about it. Then lose in 2018. Gorsuch WILL be confirmed so please just do it and help sign your loss in 2018.

Is this clown preparing for retirement? If so that would explain it because he'd clearly have nothing to lose.He surely understands that Montana went 56-36 for DJT!
