Well this is unexpected from bloomberg. NOT! Don't you love this line "...tries to come to grip...". You think anyone would be offended if somebody posted an article entitled "The Cost of Northern Gun Dumbness". Just wait until you see all the racist flags hanging above them evil guns. They must be fully automated guns since they apparently act of their own accord. Fidiots! And based on a study out of stanford no less.

I would ask “Where do most of these gun-related deaths and accidents occur?” Is in urban areas? Predominantly inner-city, black neighborhoods? Where?

If you actually crunch the numbers, most of the homicides are by blacks and Hispanics.

About 95% of “gun violence” can be blamed on the gang culture, but you will never progressives say a word about that.

Upshot is that every gun related casualty costs $6300 average.
What the study & article falls to address is the orders of magnitude more casualties that DON’T happen because of lawful possession & appropriate brandishing to dissuade criminals. Those work out to a health coverage savings of around $1T annually.

Lets get serious for a moment. “.....The study tracked a total of 267,265 patients who were admitted to a hospital for firearm-related injuries from 2006 through 2014.....”
A large percentage of firearms homicides are suicide related. Not every suicide attempt is successful. I would wager that a firearm suicide attempt that isn’t quite successful would entail a lot over very expensive brain surgery.
How many of these quarter million hospital patients were related to police justified shooting?
How many of these quarter million hospital patients were related to gang violence/drug deals gone bad?
The real dollar amount is probably more related to suicide prevention, criminal/gang/drug activity than it is to firearms.
How many of these quarter million hospital

Any one study, hammers, knives, vehicles, ropes, etc.? So I guess some of them save money on medical bills because there are only funeral expenses? There are about 100,000,000 guns out there who killed no one today or any other day. Its all about power to them and the fear that they will be overthrown via a civil war if the population doesn’t agree with their agendas.

Unbelievably useless statistic. Since I won't go to the site, did Stanford break down the stats into criminal intent, accidental discharge, hunting accidents, self defense, and the very rare case of a child finding a loaded gun? I doubt it.
The know-alls at so-called institutions of higher learning would be the first to cry help from gun owners when they are invaded. BTW, saw on the news recently that the ghetto gangsters are now burglarizing upscale homes in Los Angeles. I've warned for years that they would eventually do so.
When seconds count, the police are minutes away. Got 870?

Cars kill more people each year.
Doctors/nurses kill more people each year.
Abortionists murder more people each year.
They also never seem to want to show who is doing the shooting. Crimimals mostly, and mostly killing other criminals.
