Whatever happened to selling insurance across state lines, tort reform, etc.? Any health insurance reform worthy of the name should include these provisions.

I saw a few hours ago that out of the 30 some odd HFC members; only 18 remain fully opposed to TrumpCare.

We need to (I need to) quit focusing on the HFC.

This is the biggest nothing burger to waste our time with in quite a while.

Sound reasonable to me. The essential health benefits mandate repeal would help me out. Even some FReepers seem to think if maternity benefits aren’t mandated, no one will have it. A free market will offer options so people can buy the insurance they need and can afford.

Trump singling out the FC, rather than those responsible for the Ryancare disaster, is the reason the FC is backing off their insistence that all mandates be removed and that this doesn't become another permanent entitlement program.

That Trump is demonizing them, and is promoting something that does not repeal and replace it, should trouble every person that voted for him. This ain't draining the swamp.

It might be troubling, but I expected Trump to be good on some things and bad on others. He might sign a bad health care bill, but not being Hillary he gives the planet a chance to survive.

Works for me.

The President and the Congress (Ryan) should be made to look at this and some other pretty good suggestions floating around FR and explain WHY NOT?

We should be much farther along making America great than we are now.

Thats been my argument, if people want all those benefits she mentioned, it can be offered to them, but I don’t want my money used to pay for it.

The way I understand it, most of the demands were met, with the remaining to be taken care of in Phase 2. It seems that Freedom Caucus really wanted the credit for the bill. If it didn’t all happen in Phase 1. nobody would remember them;

Seems to me to be BS politics.

Tom Price has tremendous power to make changes in Phase 2...this was the biggest mistake Obama made, thinking for sure they would win/steal the election and the Beast would be in charge. There are 147 areas where Price has complete authority to make changes without any Congressional influence.

Pre-existing is medicare. It has alaways existed.

Repeal means Individual Mandate.
Any less is not repeal.

Freedom Caucus, do not cave.

Let the Rinos compromise.

They already had that BEFORE Obastardcare. It was called the PCIP plans. It was a state run high risk pool offered to those, like myself, who were denied insurance on the open market. Prior Condition Insurance Provider was, I believe, the name of it. 11 states subscribed to it and it was run with the federal government subscription.
Was a real good plan. 234 bucks a month for a single, ABT 1500 deductable, 80/20 until 10,000, and 100% after that. And you could go to any Doctor you chose. Whether it covered the rest I dont know and dont care anymore.

Was in the process of getting it until they canceled it when Obastardcare came along.

“Any health insurance reform worthy of the name should include these provisions.”

Allow me to complicate things for you: Healthcare insurance, except for catastrophic, is nothing more than government healthcare brought to you by insurance companies paying off congresscritters who pass government insurance schemes to benefit insurance companies. How about we call it what it is: Government fascism.

Freedom Caucus conciliation to Trump’s RyanCare bill.

RyanCare2 on the table?

This has gotten very little attention and affects us all.

No—this is sad, they have been reduced to supporting Obamacare 2.0—because Trump is pushing it.

A shame and a waste and not what he was elected to do.
