President Trump may have short-term successes but will ultimately fail, and reality therapy including checks and balances in the U.S. system will make him realize that things are not as simple as they appear, former U.N. secretary-general Kofi Annan said this week.
Speaking Tuesday at the Forum for the Future of Agriculture, an annual event held in Brussels, Annan was answering a moderators questions about Trumps executive order reversing the Obama administrations environmental regulations.
British journalist and BBC HARDtalk presenter Stephen Sackur asked Annan whether it matters that the leader of the worlds most powerful economy is saying he does not care about the Paris climate change agreement or the worlds rhetoric on cutting greenhouse gas emissions, but is going to do what is in Americas best short-term interest let the fossil fuel economy rip.
It does matter, Annan replied. Hes setting the wrong example, but I hope the rest of the world will not follow him.

hey Kofi great job on resolving the Syrian crisis and we still remember the oil for food scandal....
JUST ANOTHER OVEREDUCATED UN CROOK IN AN ARMANI SUIT....

The new world order is going full bore against President Trump. He must be doing things right.
Wonder what this POS qualifications are for a talk on agriculture? Having grown a few pot plants in his apartment?
I hope this POS loses his pension and all his colleagues lose their jobs. The UN is a debating club for savages from brutal, dictatorial regimes who lecture the civilized world on our responsibilities.
It needs to go.
The sooner the better.
Go back to the banana hut you came from, jackass.
Speaking of failures! He even fails the Spell Checker test (like Obozo).
How wealthy did you become being the leader Inhumane U.N.?
The failing UN’s failed former leader pontificates. We should all bow before him.
Kofi Annan should crawl back under his rock
Like he failed in Rwanda?

Mostly, Trump supporters are being worked over, by a clear and present demoralization campaign. The MSM is hell bent on taking this president out.
Certainly, at minimum the MSM is attempting to freeze this president in place, to make his agenda ineffective, magnify division among Trump supporters and effectively KILL his FOREIGN AGENDA, as well as his domestic agenda.
I see even the titles on FR carry some of all the hair on fire water columns by the Left that feed agitation, frustration and in some cases, outright hysteria, fear and even a little helplessness.
There are some insightful pieces, but imho, it is a problem to see a forum full of threads written by the enemies of Trump, OUR enemies, and so few on balance that research the writer, their affiliations, their alliances, their AGENDA.
We’ve still got some NeverTrumpers hanging out, and wobbly Trump supporters influenced by the “bad news” threads and some nearly heart broken supporters succumbing to this crap.
If Trump is being badly served by advisors, for example, by leaking to the press, (certainly discretely calling into the Morning Joe hosts), or who are stoking Trump’s ire for the entire block of the Freedom Caucus, Trump will, to paraphrase Lou Dobbs, who said last night on Hannity, that Trump will soon figure this out, turn on them and come down hard.
I hang with loads of patience for a man under seige, in country and out, with this former UN secretary general nonsense.
Trump will see where his supporters are on some of these matters and given a little time, will respond. I think we do him a favor by letting him know we would like to hear from him on his motivations and direction, on our distaste for Ryan and our support for *some* members of the FC, who stood by him and not against him. (Plenty of them did stand against him, rather bitterly, if we’re honest.)
I say again, my sense is that Trump is striking out *as if he has been betrayed*. I want to know why he thinks that and hear him allude to who betrayed him. His experience sure as heck makes him no patsy for Paul Ryan, so what’s up.
I want him to tell us, but he is not a candidate any longer. He is the POTUS. I believe he is no longer free to draw us pictures, friends. He is in the middle of a high stakes chess game. We have likewise been made observers, but must defend him.
AMEN!!!
They used to say:
Trump is not a serious candidate...
Trump is not going to win GOP nomination...
Trump is not going to be the President...
New mantra is: Trump is going to fail. He is not going to serve full term in office...
Why should we care about words spoken by these intellectual midgets?
For the same reason as always; to watch them eat said words, or so things seem to me.
Kofi the dictator lover.
Hear, hear!!
