Connecticut considering weaponizing drones [Skynet!!]
AP/Fox 5 NY ^ | 3/30/17 | Dave Collins

Connecticut lawmakers are considering whether the state should become the first in the country to allow police to use drones outfitted with deadly weapons, a proposal immediately met with concern by civil rights and liberties advocates.

The bill would ban the use of weaponized drones, but exempt police. Details on how law enforcement could use drones with weapons would be spelled out in new rules to be developed by the state Police Officer Standards and Training Council. Officers also would have to receive training before being allowed to use drones with weapons.

Connecticut has decided to declare war on its citizens.

That cuts both ways.

Oh, I like this idea. What could possibly go wrong?

You wouldn’t BELIEVE the progress they’re making with SWARMING.

They even have an abundantly feasible “SKY Aircraft Carrier” concept starting now —I’m sure it will take awhile BUT:

The smaller aircraft are called GREMLINS. They are transported to the general battle area by something similar to a C-130. They Gremlins are released and go in for SEAD-type missions, perform mapping, suppression etc. then return and land in the Mothership loitering safetly nearby.

If one or more Gremlins are attrited, who cares? They are designed with attrition in mind, off the shelf components, etc.

The swarms are so far not huge but those huge swarms will soon come.

It will be so that if the mothership succeeds in getting somewhat close and launching her swarm then mostly it’s GAME OVER for the enemy (in the future that’s more or less the citizenry, I’d wager).

The police in Dallas used C-4 on a robot to kill the sniper last year.

It won’t be too much longer before the whole civilian drone industry gets legislated out of existence. It is way easier to make the drone be the deadly weapon than to figure out how to get it to carry a deadly weapon, and it will only take a few incidents to make this into a national panic

A person could bring down a plane with a swarm, could they not? get sucked into the intake.

The polices are ALWAYS exempted from the restriction we peasants must tolerate.

And to ice it off, they get "qualified immunity" if they blow you away by mistake.

I watch Chicago APB, so, of course, I must be an expert on these drones being weaponized.(/S)

The legislation is directly targetting law abiding gun owners: ban weaponizing drones except for police...

Not until they’re autonomous, which isn’t far away tech wise.

Police already using registered home cameras to spy on us, hence registered drones and them asking pervert drone peeping toms cooperation. This is why they want with the FAa to punish shooting drones down

Law-abiding citizens need “iron domes” for protection.

Do you suppose the sale of shot gun shells will proliferate, under that policy? 😀😆

If you outlaw weaponized drones, then only outlaws will have weaponized drones.
