Brooks is a member of the HFC. So I guess his repeal bill is bought and paid for by the Kochs, too.

Is it just me who thinks so, but is using words like “never” in making such statements not exactly a “centrist” position?

Koch Brothers bad, Club for Growth bad, Socialism is great as long as our guys are the ones in charge!!!!!!

Did I click on the wrong forum???

Refresh my memory: how much money are the Koch Bros. spending on Mo Brooks one sentence obamacare repeal? Answer: Nothing. But they are more than willing to spend millions to defeat Ryancare, torpedo POTUS’s agenda and keep obamacare the law of the land. Interesting, don’t you think?

Exactly. And let it die of its own weight. When its only Medicaid, Medicaid can be reformed and shifted to the States.

I disagree. Private policies will be cheaper & tailored to what the buyer wants if people can opt for their own policies and Trump reforms the dynamics of the free marketplace for healthcare. The Feds would only be involved when they are the payer, Medicaid. Getting the Feds out of that part of the Healthcare business is harder but can be done incrementally partly by shifting the burden and choice on how to set up the programs to the state.

Its not altruism, its common sense. We have never let American die because of lack of care. The point is to get that segment of society to be a much smaller % of Americans by growing our economy and weeding out those who are milking the system

THE FREEDOM CAUCUS IS WORKING FOR WHAT WE VOTED FOR

AND WHAT VOTERS WERE PROMISED

*F* *U* TO THE “CENTRISTS”

__________________________________________________________
the reality is that the centrists have no more right or no less right than the freedom Caucus.

What is interesting is that they could pass five bills when Obama was the president but couldn't get together on one of them when there is a president who would sign it, that is what gets to me.

I am inclined to believe that none of them really want the healthcare bill changed and I am furious about it. At this point I would much rather have a bill that is not perfect but is better than what we have than to keep what we have.

“Will someone tell me again why the Freedom Caucus supported Ryan for Speaker?”

The liberal Republicans threatened to peel off if a conservative speaker was elected and vote with the Democrats to get a really liberal Republican.

They did this in Texas, which is why Strauss (a nominal Republican, but who is really a Democrat) was elected with universal Democrat support and only a little Republican support.

Collins said he thinks the Freedom Caucus is just trying to shift blame for the repeal bill’s failure last week by talking about such a meeting.

Really? That's why the Sniveling Coward Lyin Ryan pulled the bill? Because it would have exposed those that voted against it as all FC Members? Yeah I believe you as much as I believe you stand for Smaller Constitutional Government.

Club for Growth/Koch Bros are getting their money’s worth with this Freedom Cuck-us scam.

Oh I actually did your research for you...These are the average campaign costs:

https://www.opensecrets.org/overview/cost.php
Repubs

Average raised: $1,799,784
Average Spent: $1,726,824

Average Cash on Hand $544,729

Average from PACS: $817,830
Average from Individual: $864,599

The average amount donated by Koch in 2016 Congressional Races to Freedom Caucus members was between $5000-10,000 with highest and only $15,000 going to Ron DeSantis and lowest to Gary Palmer at $1000. These were similar amounts that they gave to many Republicans too.

Paul Ryan got $39,522 and Tom Pompeo got 71,100 so maybe that is where you should be directing your remarks.

I am not sure of the discussions and circumstances behind closed doors, but Ryan’s bill was a turd and did nothing to drain the swamp through REPEAL.

Brooks received no money in the 2016 Election cycle.

Just because the Freedom Caucus is smart enough to realize that compromising with bad policy is like adding sewage to your drinking water?

I would love that. All the charity hospitals where I trained have been closed, victims of Hillary’s foray into healthcare & Romney care. Obamacare took out the last holdouts.

Charity care can regrow and should be nurtured and encouraged. It will not be there from Day 1 and we can’t count on it. Too many doctors offices and hospitals are giving up the ghost or merging into large conglomerates with cost centers and care rules.

When medicine is given back to patients & doctors, costs will decline and charity care will reemerge. The time saved from the overwhelming regulation compliance will be available for patient care.
