“When you embarrass the boss publicly and contribute to his defeat in his first major initiative, there is a price to pay.”

Donald Trump isn’t “the boss”. This is the cult of personality.

You are taking it too literally. The Executive Branch is headed by the President, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the US Armed Forces. The responsibilities/duties of the President are spelled out in the Constitution. He is the "boss" when it comes to the daily operation of the government.

Trump is a Republican and the titular head of the GOP. Trump and the Vice President are the only Reps who ran and were elected nationally. Obama may have represented a "cult of personality," but Trump enjoys no such status among his Congressional colleagues, a number of whom are openly critical of him. Some of them refused to endorse his candidacy.

The GOP must unify around Trump or they will cease to retain control of government.

I disagree. The president has ALWAYS been the de facto leader of his party. Always.

Going out on a limb here...

Seems to me there are some “Conservative Representatives” whom for what ever reason would rather leave Obamacare in place.

Here in lies the problem. To many of us, right now we’re in huge problems because of this Socialist experiment, an experiment that’s doomed to fail.

While I wasn’t in love with the alternative proposed, seems to me it was a hell of a lot better than what we have.

Now we have the Freedom Caucus standing in the way, taking the posture that if it isn’t perfect, they will refuse to support it.

In the mean time, who’s truly getting hurt? Most of us.

I’m thinking back to the never Trumpers and truly questioning what their motivations were? While they hid behind the “must be pure ideologically” argument, I think most of us saw that to be a false argument. Thinking that may be the same mentality here. Maybe these people are actually supportive of Obamacare for political reasons or maybe they think the current system is just fine. I don’t know. But what I do know is this Republican Party is fresh out of excuses. They control all three branches now. This is shades of why many of us called Republicans in the past the stupid party.

If Obamacare remains the law, what reasons would we have to support these people again?

I was told by a fellow Freeper to just be patient. Well, my patients are just about gone. Fix it now....or else.

That’s right. In America “We The People” are the “boss”. And ultimately God is the boss.
