One temporary setback in a tidal wave of gains and you’ve got the vapors?

I am not sure that it is a setback. Trump knows that the bill would only have transferred ownership of obamacare to himself, that it would thenceforth be known far and wide as Trumpcare and it would be every bit the disaster that already is obamacare. I don't think he would have "supported" if did he not know that it would not pass. I think he is doing a job on Mr. Ryan. He can't order the House Republicans to fire him but he can nudge him into some humiliations that just might convince the Republicans that they need this guy gone. His opposition in the House consists of almost all of the Republicans and all of the Democrats. All but one of the Republicans in the House voted for Ryan to be Speaker. They knew what he is. They wanted him. What more evidence is necessary to understand that Trump has essentially no allies in the Congress. They are all effectively Democrats and none of the nominal Republicans are even in the top circles of the Party. They are the Junior Varsity division of the Party.
