Yep. Back when our kids were in middle and high school, when we made a complaint we would type it up on legal documents with us as plaintiffs, sit down with the Principal and give him a copy, informing him that our attorney also has one. That always got results.
One time was against a nasty liberal teacher with a bias towards kids, we got grades raised not only for our daughter but others as well, and the teacher was removed from teaching the course for the following years. Be serious with the administration, and they will treat you seriously.
