Progressives were free to oppose in part thanks to top cover from the Freedom Caucus. All the time POTUS spent babysitting the arsonists in the FC could have been better spent picking off blue state RINOs.
They put in a couple token nods to the Freedom Caucus, not enough to budge them, and immediately lost Establishment support.
