It is good to not fully trust even outfits like the AP. It's also advisable to investigate primary sources, isn't it? Would you believe the Archdiocese of Mexico?

Here;

The last paragraphs (after running those through Google Translate);

Any deportation, when there is no proven crime and administrative failure justified according to law, is a sign of terror, and the wall is a monument of intimidation and silence, xenophobic hate to silence the voices of poorly paid and ill-treated workers, unprotected families and Of abused persons; It is a retreat from the noblest longings of mankind, by which much blood has been shed; Is a prelude to the destruction of the values of democracy and social rights.

The wall represents the predominance of a country that is considered good with the manifest destiny to overwhelm a nationality that has considered perverted and corrupt: the Mexican.

Pope Francis appeals to forge peace between nations. In February 2017, during a weekly catechesis, he said: "In the social and civil context, I appeal not to create walls, but to build bridges. Do not respond to evil with evil. They defeat evil with good, to offense with forgiveness. "

Any company intent on investing in the wall of the Trump fanatic would be immoral, but above all, its shareholders and owners should be considered as traitors to the motherland.

The Archdiocese published it on their own web site. Who you going to believe now? The Mexican Roman Catholic Church is equating deportation of undocumented, illegal immigrants (those who enter the USA contrary to this nation's laws) to "terror".

They also, from top (title of their own published editorial) to bottom (last paragraph) characterized companies...owners and shareholders who would be willing to contract for building the wall (to reduce ILLEGAL immigration from Mexico into the USA) as traitors to Mexico.

That tells us all we need to know about the Mexican Roman Catholic Church. They promote Mexican nationalism, lawlessness, and disrespect of the laws of the United States (while whining about awakening U.S. "nationalism").

What about the "big beautiful door" Trump spoke about desiring to be placed in "the wall"?

The Archdiocese, if they want any say in this in the future will soon need to take U.S. citizens' interests into their own considerations, as much as they are taking Mexican interests into consideration. Do that, and do that respectfully, or be seen by American citizens as the lawless HYPOCRITES (who take stands for continuing lawlessness) THAT THEY ARE.

They must change their tone -- or be left fully out of negotiations. (They can be and will be swept aside, if not). That goes for the lot of them, the USCCB included.

Gotta' problem with that?
How 'bout take time off your busy schedule of spamming this forum with RCC "stuff" and write them a note, telling them that unbridled immigration from one nation to another -- if that not allowed fully both ways-- is inequitable, thus iniquity.

In move towards genuine equity for the present status quo; allow citizens of the USA privilege to freely travel to and even immigrate into Mexico, including buying property in Mexico, just like Mexican nationals (or anyone for that matter) can purchase and own property in the USA. Or else shut up and quit complaining about the USA's turn towards enforcing it's own immigration laws.

No one can practice lawlessness expecting good to come of it.

That there has been some 'good', real benefits obtained by Mexican nationals wriggling their way into the United States is testimony to what 'goodness' and blessed plenty the USA had been able to enjoy prior to Mexican immigrants arrival (in large numbers) more than it is due to any imagined, inherent goodness of the wrigglers.
