The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Mexico says Mexican companies that express interest in working on a border wall in the United States are betraying their country.

Betraying Christ for liberation theology is worse than treason.

No illegal immigration was involved.

Do your research before overreacting. A LOT of Texans actually did immigrate illegally AFTER Mexico declared the border closed and that no more immigrants were to come in. Mexico failed to ENFORCE that edict (much like we have failed for YEARS to enforce our immigration laws). Yes, a lot of Texans were illegal immigrants. That is a fact of history that can not be overlooked.

Now, if Mexico wants it back, then Mexico must take back its illegals here and then fight for it. We fought for it and WON.

The Catholic Church likes the idea of growing its membership with our welfare state.
I would like to suggest several places my Church can go jump.

The Catholic Church is probably the number one reason Mexico is where it is today. The Mexicans need to throw the Pope out of their bedrooms. Also, go take a look at a dirt poor Mexican backwater town and you will find the local Catholic Church dripping with gold. The Catholic Church would not get away with their antics in Mexico here, but they are trying nonetheless. Their Archbishop in Los Angeles should be in jail for his pronouncements.

“Mexico’s Catholic Church” appears to be made up of a bunch of bottomfeeding scumbags. If they would support their people, the people would not be forced to risk their lives fleeing to America for their survival. Screw Mehico’s “Catholic Church”. It’s a fraud.

It is good to not fully trust even outfits like the AP. It's also advisable to investigate primary sources, isn't it? Would you believe the Archdiocese of Mexico?

Here;

The last paragraphs (after running those through Google Translate);

Any deportation, when there is no proven crime and administrative failure justified according to law, is a sign of terror, and the wall is a monument of intimidation and silence, xenophobic hate to silence the voices of poorly paid and ill-treated workers, unprotected families and Of abused persons; It is a retreat from the noblest longings of mankind, by which much blood has been shed; Is a prelude to the destruction of the values of democracy and social rights.

The wall represents the predominance of a country that is considered good with the manifest destiny to overwhelm a nationality that has considered perverted and corrupt: the Mexican.

Pope Francis appeals to forge peace between nations. In February 2017, during a weekly catechesis, he said: "In the social and civil context, I appeal not to create walls, but to build bridges. Do not respond to evil with evil. They defeat evil with good, to offense with forgiveness. "

Any company intent on investing in the wall of the Trump fanatic would be immoral, but above all, its shareholders and owners should be considered as traitors to the motherland.

The Archdiocese published it on their own web site. Who you going to believe now? The Mexican Roman Catholic Church is equating deportation of undocumented, illegal immigrants (those who enter the USA contrary to this nation's laws) to "terror".

They also, from top (title of their own published editorial) to bottom (last paragraph) characterized companies...owners and shareholders who would be willing to contract for building the wall (to reduce ILLEGAL immigration from Mexico into the USA) as traitors to Mexico.

That tells us all we need to know about the Mexican Roman Catholic Church. They promote Mexican nationalism, lawlessness, and disrespect of the laws of the United States (while whining about awakening U.S. "nationalism").

What about the "big beautiful door" Trump spoke about desiring to be placed in "the wall"?

The Archdiocese, if they want any say in this in the future will soon need to take U.S. citizens' interests into their own considerations, as much as they are taking Mexican interests into consideration. Do that, and do that respectfully, or be seen by American citizens as the lawless HYPOCRITES (who take stands for continuing lawlessness) THAT THEY ARE.

They must change their tone -- or be left fully out of negotiations. (They can be and will be swept aside, if not). That goes for the lot of them, the USCCB included.

Gotta' problem with that?
How 'bout take time off your busy schedule of spamming this forum with RCC "stuff" and write them a note, telling them that unbridled immigration from one nation to another -- if that not allowed fully both ways-- is inequitable, thus iniquity.

In move towards genuine equity for the present status quo; allow citizens of the USA privilege to freely travel to and even immigrate into Mexico, including buying property in Mexico, just like Mexican nationals (or anyone for that matter) can purchase and own property in the USA. Or else shut up and quit complaining about the USA's turn towards enforcing it's own immigration laws.

No one can practice lawlessness expecting good to come of it.

That there has been some 'good', real benefits obtained by Mexican nationals wriggling their way into the United States is testimony to what 'goodness' and blessed plenty the USA had been able to enjoy prior to Mexican immigrants arrival (in large numbers) more than it is due to any imagined, inherent goodness of the wrigglers.

TRANSLATION: That stinker of a border wall is really gonna put a hitch in our Illegal Alien Underground Railroad.

Further: It's going to stop remittances from our people in the US and we're going to lose money.

Mexican companies that express interest in working on a border wall in the United States would bring jobs for Mexicans and income for the country.

Why would the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Mexico interfere in the standing laws of the United States? What is wrong with Mexican citizens being employed to lawfully secure our borders?

Why would the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Mexico want to support the drug lords, gang members, and illegal aliens with criminal intent? I do not get it!

Well, well. The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Mexico . . . is denouncing Mexican companies that have expressed willingness to supply materials or work on the wall for something called "Treason against the Homeland" . . .

Which homeland is that? Bishops are only authorized to work officially for one Homeland, and it's not in Mexico City. Put it this way: If there is no male and female in the heavenly kingdom, I'd infer there isn't Mexico there, either. So these fellers aren't acting as Catholic bishops, but something else. And what would that be? Something cute--a national church--as opposed to a "catholic" (universal) one.

Let's see, who else has had a national Catholic church . . . The Nazis in Germany; the Red Chinese in China. . . And the Soviets had their puppet Orthodox Church in Russia. Tell me again about the simple, open faith south of the Rio Grande.

The present pope is nothing more than socialist....he is not a serious person. The Catholic church is a New World Order s organization that most American Catholics don’t support...IMHO!!!

“A LOT of Texans actually did immigrate illegally AFTER Mexico declared the border closed and that no more immigrants were to come in.”

Since you consider “woah” to be an overreaction, I hesitate to ask if you have any sources for that claim, or an approximate number to put with “a lot.”

Solid documentation, in response to the default RC damage control protocol, "that which impugns Our One True Church must be impugned." Unless they do it.

Certainly we should have compassion for the multitudes of those fleeing violence and poverty, yet this cannot justify breaking basic laws and opposing means to prevent illegal entry. I am quite sure you do not just walk past the front desk and into any part of the building the office of the office of the Archdiocese of Mexico any time.

If I’m ever “saved”, one of the places in which I will never, ever, EVER set foot is a Catholic church. Talk about subversion and treason.

(No, I’m not slighting ordinary Catholics, just the left-wing nutjob clergy.)
