for those about to say is Trump being PC by saying “one of the most successful immigrant groups in our country’s contemporary history,” remember that many Persian immigrants are non-Muslims, mainly Jews but some Zoroastrians and Christians, who fled the Mullahs, hence why Iranian-Americans have been part of the success story, not the failure one.
I was looking at this holiday the other day. The local Jaguar dealership has a big banner up say Happy Nowrouz or whatever it is. (Yes, Trump is right - many Iranians that moved here after the fall of the Shah are very smart and love America. The 20-somethings coming in now - probably not so much.)
It goes on for a week or more - is celebrated as a time for neighbors to come together (how PC!). BUT - one of the upcoming days they will celebrate the founder of Zoroastrianism. Some think that the Wise Men that visited Jesus were Zoroastrians from Persia.
