I was a Cruz supporter, but got on the Trump train when he didn’t apologize for wanting to protect our borders. He doubled down on it even when all hell was let loose on him. I don’t think you need to eat crow, because your initial response was reasonable.
I was a Cruz supporter, but got on the Trump train when Cruz messed up by criticizing Trump for liberal violence at Trump rallies. Then Cruz did other dumb things (still second best, but they established a pattern and not just a one-off fluke to put him behind President Trump). I still like Cruz for Supreme Court, but Trump was by far the best choice for the White House.
