WASHINGTON House Republican leaders, facing a revolt among conservatives and moderates in their ranks, pulled legislation to repeal the Affordable Care Act from consideration on the House floor Friday afternoon in a spectacular defeat for President Trump on the first legislative showdown of his presidency.

Good. About time they got blamed for something.
One thing for sure, whether you are a true conservative, middle of the roader, right or left of center, this party will never get its act together like the Democrats. Hell or high water they stink together.
Disgusting!
As they should be. They’re the ones that created this mess in the first place ... passing a ginormous bill just to see what was in it.
Ryan is an abject failure and needs to be replaced with a Trump supporter.
Ryan's Bill was a disaster from the beginning and nothing he did could change that.
Yup. No matter what happens, the Dems will lockstep.
Trump said Ryan’s bill is better than Americans realized.
“A lot of people dont realize how good our bill was because they were viewing phase one. But when you add phase two which was mostly the signs of secretary price who is behind it, and you add phase three which I think we would have gotten, it became a great bill,” Trump said. “Premiums would have gone down and it would have been very stable, would have been very strong. But thats okay.
“But were very, very close,” he said. “And, again, I think what will happen is ObamaCare, unfortunately, will explode.”
Trump handled this as well as can be expected.
I think he wants results, not infighting at the expense of results.
If the ACA “explodes” on his watch (and I don’t know that “explodes” means in this instance), people are going to turn their attention to the sitting president and the sitting Congress.
Who took the blame for the 2008 financial crisis?
We don’t need artificial deadlines. I would rather get this right than get it now.
I don’t think your headline is correct. Trump isn’t blaming democrats - he’s blaming conservatives.
In any event your headline isn’t what is supposed to be here.
The real headline is....
In Spectacular Defeat for Trump, Push to Repeal Health Law Fails
per the link.
See post 12. Either the OP made it up or it’s been changed since the link went active. (That does happen)
Well, at least no one is going to be ‘Bart Stupak’d’.
democrats broke it they need to fix it, President Trump was doing the democrats a favor in fixing this mess, they were just too stupid to see it
NO Trump. You can tout Phase Two all you want but none of that is guaranteed.
Give us a Bill that has it all laid out..not pie in the sky maybes years down the road.
And please explain why you allowed an amendment that forced Vets into the VA system and gave healthcare subsidies to illegals. Trump pushed that bill..and it is not acceptable. Do not put it in a bill and claim later it will be taken out.
No, he didn't. He made us a promise. I voted for him based on that promise. The GOP voted 50 times (!!!!!!) from 2010 to 2016 for complete repeal. Now, all of a sudden, there's a problem? Lol. No, WE are the problem. We are dumb enough to believe anything these traitors say. If we can JUST get the House, the Senate and the White House! Yep. We're that stupid.
Actions have consequences, just read on Twitter Tax cuts can’t be that deep because no HC bill to allow revenue
McCain of course. Because he is stupid, among other things. The difference now is that Trump is not stupid.
