Some countries on accept immigrants that have a means of supporting themselves.
2 years is long enough to support them.

We should go back to the old US immigration policy:

1. Immigrants must show the ability to support themselves or have a legal resident or citizen accept responsibility to provide for them.

2. New immigrants not eligible for public benefits for 5 years.

The old policy was to deal with workers; these new immigrants aren’t here to work, but instead serve as “consumers” (of housing, public education, the poverty sector, etc.).
