I hate being given with choices to choose. Ryan plan sucks. It will undermine Trump presidency. Trump should continue to negotiate with Rand Paul. No plan better than another bad plan. or let Obamacare implode itself.
Just an observation, but if this goes down and there is no replacement....I think the Democrats will be kinda shocked and bewildered.
The ObamaCare package is losing participants every single year....cost issues are the dynamic at work. If you go for some top policy...family with three kids...you could be looking at $14,000 a year on payments, and $5,000 on the deductible. Who wants to pay $19,000 a year?
If this fails...then we are locked in and face some moment where the general pubic will be angry at both the GOP and the Democrats. Neither can fix this, and the only legit way out is single-payer. At best...it’s six to eight years away from being forced onto everyone. Trump is simply forcing the GOP bigwigs who hyped up their dream deal five years ago to admit it won’t pass.
Let Ocommiecare die on the vine and hang the left with it. Ryancommiecare is no better and will guarantee a Republican loss in 2018.
Then let the failure of Obamacare stay in place. This healthcare bill from trump tower will eventually punish every working class veteran. They had a perfect 50 state bill a couple of years ago.. why not repeal? The house has repealed it dozens of times. No, to this deal.

* give Trump a win on his first congressional battle. Keep the feeling that he gets things done, negotiates, is a winner.
or
* give Trump a loss. Let companies, foreign governments, markets, etc. lose some hope that he can get DC to work and can fix all sorts of other problems (taxes, immigration, budget/defense spending,...). Let everyone know that Congress is in charge and not Trump for things that need legislation and it’s impossible to MAGA with the current swamp in Congress that Trump is unable to drain.

I suggest we allow the democrats to own it. Republicans where sent to repeal it. Not put lip stick on a pig.

For me, the only option, EVER, was repeal, followed by some deregulation that improved the private health care industry and health care insurance industry.
The administration is putting pressure on conservatives to pass a semi-socialist replacement. It should be putting pressure on Democrats to pass a free-market replacement. Tells you everything you need to know about who this administration is, sadly. I had hopes for Trump but they’re rapidly fading.
Third choice:
End the mandate, end the funding, end the insane restrictions on health coverage, and let Obamacare implode & let the market offer what people want.
NO REPLACEMENT.
