Maricopa County Added Over 222 People Per Day in 2016, More Than Any Other County
March 23, 2017
Maricopa County, Ariz., replaced Harris County, Texas, as the county with the nation's highest annual population growth, according to U.S. Census Bureau population estimates released today. Harris County was the largest numeric gainer for eight years in a row. Maricopa County gained 81,360 people between July 1, 2015 and July 1, 2016, or about 222 people per day, while the nation's second-largest population gainer, Harris County, gained 56,587 people, or about 155 people per day on average.
Maricopa County, home to Phoenix, primarily grew through the addition of 43,189 residents from net domestic migration, a measure of how many people move to or from an area versus other parts of the United States. The county also added 25,428 people from natural increase (more births than deaths) and 10,188 people from net international migration.
Harris County, Texas, home to Houston, saw changes in net domestic migration, going from a net gain of more than 17,000 to a net loss of more than 16,000. Despite this, Harris County had the second largest gain in population due to high natural increase (46,412) and net international migration (27,922).

Some High-Population Counties or County-Equivalents Continued to Experience Population Loss
These notable high-population counties continued to see population loss:
Cook County, Ill. (Chicago): -21,324. Wayne County, Mich. (Detroit): -7,696. Baltimore city, Md.: -6,738.
Baltimore city saw an increase in population loss this year primarily due to a doubling of its net domestic out-migration.

I have not downloaded the data tables yet. Should be fodder for more discussion.
The on item that stood out to me is this:
Top 25 Fastest-Growing Metro Areas (Percent Change): July 1, 2015 to July 1, 2016 1 The Villages, FL: Natural Increase: -1,241; Births: 501; Deaths: 1,742
The Villages is a senior community in Florida with a population of 123,000. Somehow this senior community produced 501 children.
It’s really hot there in the summer...
And how many were ILLEGAL?
Most likely these are progressive “refugees” who will metastasize their failed politics into their new homes.
It bodes ill for red states.
How many were ‘imported’ by Obama for the specific purpose of voting for Sheriff Joe’s opponent?
Next election AZ will go blue!!! TONS of DemonRATS moving in!! Many illegal from Calimexico and Texas ...Colorado is gone.....AND I’m on record predicting TX in 8years worth will be going blue for the next presidential election.....mark it!!!
Somehow this senior community produced 501 children.”
That would be new people moving in who are under 60. LOL
A lot of people living there that aren’t in the Senior classification.
Take a look at these numbers.

All of them Democrats. Hence the sad end to Sheriff Joe’s career.

If NC, GA, TX turn blue it will be due to these immigrants from the north and not from the south. All of IL has a big net loss... losing a congressional seat. It isn’t just Detroit, Flint and many places in MI are losing bigly.
We migrate to NC, GA, TX, AZ where the jobs are. Most rust belt immigrants to the South are Democrats. Nobody in GA is asking rust belt immigrants why there are jobs in GA, but not in IL.
If NC, GA, TX, AZ turn Blue it will be due to the lazy inattention to reality by both the national, and especially the local Conservative and Republican people and organizations.
Chicagoans moving to Atlanta change from Bears to Falcons because they are given a good reason to change. But Republicans in GA (with rare exceptions) have been hiding their light under a bushel.
In the past the purple specks were red...San Antonio was red once...its changing quickly..Harris county went bigly for the witch from hell!! That area has been inundated with tons of Muslims immigrants , Katrina refugees, and Hispanic immigrants. Remember Ovomit settled thousands of Islamic refugees in Houston, and dallas! Go to any mall in Dallas and you’ll see the women still under the demonic sharia law dressed from head to toe with their evil garbage garments.... these people will never integrate to the American culture..never!! Watch them closely and you’ll see the man always walks in front and the woman in the back with the children! We didn’t burn our bras for this kinda freakin chit!!!
However, this would entail a Congress willing to require strict voting requirements for Federal elections. I don't see Ryan or McConnell having the stomach for such a fight. It would also entail a reformed judiciary starting with Gorsuch taking over Scalia's seat.
How many people along the coast and Austin proper are transplants from the East Coast or CA because they couldn’t find jobs?
Yep, Texas takes in a lot of refugees.

At Wrapsnet.org, I went back to FY2007 and looked at the numbers up to December 15th (6 days ago).
The whole state of Texas took in 69,413 refugees in that time frame

****************
I don’t know but probably a lot. If you look at the map El Paso, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas
and Houston are in a blue county. Ft. Bend County just SW of Houston is blue but catches
a lot of Harris overflow. The remaining blue counties are along the Rio Grande and south
agriculturial counties.
I agree. Phoenix is bluer and bluer with each city election.
There are thousands of new apartments under construction as I type this. They are all over the county.
Big, massive complexes looking like a modern Soviet era housing complex.
Not looking forward to the increase in traffic woes or the Californication of Arizona.
