Yes, this is not simply a refugee problem, or an immigrant problem. It is a Muslim problem.
As I’ve opined on FR before. India and Pakistan were India before partition. Pretty much the same language, history, culture, food, everything—except one thing—Islam. Do the Brits or us have problems with immigrants and their offspring from India? Never heard of any. Their kids do well in school, win all of the spelling bees, and seem to thrive in the hospitality sector of the economy. How about Pakistan? Constant, violent problems—not with all of them, of course, but enough to really notice the contrast. No apparent effort to become British or American. Again, what’s the difference between the two groups of immigrants? But I guess it would violate the Establishment clause to notice it.
