School Lesson Compares Trump to Hitler, Mussolini
Townhall ^ | Mar 21, 2017 | Todd Starnes

A group of moms in Saratoga Springs, New York has decided to fight back against what they call the radical leftwing indoctrination that has infested the local school system.

They call themselves the “Conservative Chicks” and one of their leaders contacted me after reading my new book, “The Deplorables’ Guide to Making America Great Again.”

She realized it was time to take a stand after a teacher at the local high school led a classroom presentation on fascism that included a graphic portrayal comparing President Donald Trump to Hitler and Mussolini.

Time to go to alternative schooling. Taxpayers should not have to subsidize substandard schooling, and should be able to divert their schools taxes wherever they want.

Did this same teacher compare Obama to Castro or Chavez?

Of course not, but they are fair comparisons.

Ending the lesson is not enough. Demand the dismissal of whoever is responsible.

Interesting, the photo used in the Townhall.com news item also appears on the Feb. 2, 2017 Deseret news website.

The photo is attributed to Lisa Rathke, Associated Press
The caption reads:

"Newly arrived refugee Dania Khatib, 5, tours a classroom with her mother Mahasen Boshnaq, center rear, and father Ahmed Khatib, right, at the Northwest Primary School Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, in Rutland, Vt. The Khatib family arrived in Rutland this month."

I taught in a public high school for 16 years. The indoctrination is astounding. Most of the lesson plans are either "canned" from the textbook sellers or the NEA. In some schools, an administrator also has to approve the lesson plan.

Whenever I corrected misrepresentations like the one on the thread, I was called on the carpet by their respective department chairs for "teaching outside of my subject" (electronics). My answer to them was the truth is everybody's subject.

During open houses, parents would thank me because their kids told them about the differences. Many of our students were from local USMC and Army bases. They generally had no idea the level of crap their kids were exposed to in the name of "education".

I would certainly recommend home schooling after my experiences.

“They have infested our schools and have control of your children...”

Because so-called conservatives refuse to get off their fat butts and attend schoolboard meetings. The result is that leftists have taken over local public schools and so-called conservatives don’t give a sh*t.

Except. Hitler is slurping his water with downcast eyes.
TRUMP is drinking his water Indian style; sipping it while
keeping head up looking all around. (This is an old test
from the Bible to choose effective warriors.)

That overly simplifies the issue. This is a long term and systemic disaster dating all the way back to the 1950's.

Acting locally is firefighting. You may win individual issues but you will not beat the mindset of the liberal machine that is institutional education.

IMO It has to be starved meaning students (your kids) need to be removed from it. Home schooling and private schooling should be endorsed, not opposed as long as the kids are educated to standards. Many state laws have to be changed to break the NEA monopoly in big education.

Defunding and decentralizing the institution i.e. the Dept of Education and returning school districts to local control is a start. At least then local values can go back into the curriculum which than makes your approach more effecive. Look at budgets and see how much money is spent in your state vs the results. Any business would collapse if they had the same performance results.

Teachers should be selected based on their competency, not their committment to a cause. I am extremely suspicious of a teacher that hangs themself on a cross claiming all the self sacrifice they are doing for the students. They should be teaching as a passion for their subject, the kids either pass or fail, not feel good about how hard they tried.

The teachers should not be 20 YO college mill graduates idealogues. They need to be the older citizens in the community who actually have real world experience. The young learn, the middle age do and the elders teach. Cultures have successfully followed that model for millenia.
