After criticism from the Trump administration, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday it will no longer detain inmates for immigration “without a warrant or other sufficient probable cause.”
Sheriff Jeff Mann said he’ll release inmates against requests from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to hold them after they otherwise would be cleared for release. ICE asks for 48 hours to check for federal immigration law violations, but Mann said he fears holding the inmates that time could violate the Constitution’s Fourth Amendment.

Sue for not protecting the citizens like a group did in San Jose. Screw em. The left loves the court system so much.

Somebody posted the relevant federal statute(s) and criminal penalties on an earlier thread regarding hinderance of federal immigration law. Seemed pretty cut-and-dried.
Time for Sessions to go to work.
In that case, Sheriff Jeff Mann should release all those prisoners on the street where Mrs. Mann lives.
I’m guessing this guy didn’t think too much about the 4th Amendment during the 8 long years of the Obomba administration.

ICE could be there the moment of the illegals release from jail if they were notified in advance of the release time,
No bogus 4th amendment issues then. Problem solved.
If ICE were notified at booking, that would fix the issue.
The border patrol and ICE are doing their jobs, The new AG is nowhere to be found prosecuting criminal mayors and governors harboring criminals.
Sessions is the new Waldo.
Sessions should have sent US Marshals to arrest Mann.

Strange. It doesn’t even say what state this is; not that it matters I guess.
We now live in a new leftist era where the sheriffs are now free to uphold whatever laws they deem okay with them personally and not uphold laws they don’t.
It’s only a matter of time when some sheriff decides he won’t uphold laws against murderers, rapists, drug dealers and of course ICE holds; but I repeat myself.
Funny how ICE holds sounds so much like iceholes. ;)

It’s a shame that Sessions allowed the snowflakes to neuter him. He’s totally worthless now. He really needs to resign. He’s useless to President Trump.
ICE needs to shop for judges, just like the liberals do. If local law enforcement won’t hold based on a verbal request (which is treasonous but legal), ICE needs to present them with a warrant every time. We just need to know which judges will sign a warrant immediately upon request.
