It was a joke, sort of. So I guess, no.
Back when we last explored the Moon, all they found was pesky sand and some rocks. We need to send some miners with drilling equipment, to drill into some strange high-gravity areas of the Moon and see if we can extract some quality ore and minerals. Besides water. Maybe gold, iron, nickel etc. That would put us on a path to forging materials for building goods on the Moon instead of expensively sending it from Earth.
Too silly! But funny, too. Shatner probably would have been great as a sidekick to, say, Abbott & Costello.

That’s a 1970 442 with the rare factory fiberglass W-25 outside air Induction (OAI) hood. That hood is ~$4,000-$5,000 for a nice original example, so while I like a chick in a bikini as much as the next guy, I’d not let one on the hood of my 442......
The moon is ours and we need to go back before China or others lay claim to it by setting up shop there.
Yawn ( am I’m allin favor of space exploration ); I’d be far more excited, if the president had signed a Bill that stops NASA’s “outreach” program for Muslims and the stupid “CLIMATE CHANGE” crap!
