Grocery stores are doing curb side pick up too.

the Kroger brand of stores has started it. Not sure if their affiliates are doing it too.

A relative was amazed at the amount of people that use the service. He says he always sees multiple store people with their big carts filling the orders.

target has been more limited in their shipping of groceries but they do in store pick of more of a selection. One tip for target that worked was that you could buy a target gift card to help you get to your minimum order amount for free shipping. don’t know if it still works.

“Grocery stores are doing curb side pick up too.”

I was snooping around googling, and discovered tonite that Whole Foods (a grocery store in the Chicagoland area and maybe elsewhere too) does actual home delivery. As my refrigerator croaked about a week ago, and a new one is coming this Friday, I may order in some fresh food like apples, onions, butter, eggs, etc. after the new Fridge comes, as the first order is delivered free.

I’ve lost some food, and put the rest that I could fit into the freezer part of my 20 year old fridge (the bottom part is deader than a doornail, but for some reason the top freezer part still works), turned the temp down in the freezer, and hope its preserving some of my food, otherwise I’m out all of my Fridge food (bye bye $$$).

Nice timing when I’ve been trying to get my condo ready to sell for a move to Florida. I’ve had it with blue IL. Well, at least I’l be able to use the new Fridge as a selling point.
