It worries me to see The Post supporting Gorsuch, to any degree and for any reason.
Bingo. And a careful reading of the article shows why they support him. He’s not conservative regarding a key social issue.
That’s certainly a cautionary note, but the other side of that trepidation is that The Post seems to have concluded that there wasn’t enough negative about the guy to write a hit piece against him.
So, does he look good enough to the leftist WaPo that Conservatives ought to be spooked, or is he really such a good jurist, and a decent human being that there’s no mud to sling at him that wouldn’t be so obviously synthetic as to fatally embarrass anyone who’d deign to try?
Nobody is as pure as the wind-driven snow, but there are, in fact, really decent people who’ve played it straight their whole lives, who have no skeletons, and not even a closet to put one in.
There’s no credible way to gin up condemnation against such a person as that without making oneself into an utter laughingstock.
