It is about time that all of the fuel rods sitting in cooling ponds and other nuclear waste is gotten into a safe storage in Yucca Mountain. One of the possible terrorist plans could be to blow up on of the cooling pond sites that are next to the nuclear reactors and thus spread radiation as an improvised dirty bomb.
Well said...It blows me away when these jerks in NV scream about finding a safe place for nuclear waste storage.
The cooling ponds you mention are a real danger at the various nuclear sites.
Lastly, there couldn’t be a safer place than underground in the wastelands of the NV desert.
