NY Attorney General Hires Prosecutor To Target Trump: Report
The Huffington Post ^ | March 20, 2017 | Mary Papenfuss

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has reportedly hired a prosecutor to examine the activities of the Trump administration.

Schneiderman has tapped public-corruption expert Howard McMaster from the office of former Manhattan U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara, The Wall Street Journal reported. Bharara was fired by Trump last week even though he was in the middle of a number of investigations, including one allegedly involving stock trades by Trump’s Health And Human Services Secretary Tom Price.

Schneiderman spokesman Eric Soufer confirmed McMaster’s hiring, and told the Journal that McMaster will work on a range of “civil and criminal investigations ... including public corruption,” and potentially litigation against the Trump administration.

Last month, at a meeting of the National Association of Attorneys General, Schneiderman revealed that his office was discussing strategies and doing research to determine what kind of action could be taken to address concerns about Trump’s potential conflicts of interest, and possible violations of the emoluments clause of the Constitution, which prohibits anyone holding a federal “office” from accepting payments from foreign entities....

They won want it once they get it. And I swear they’ll get it.In spades. Until they beg. And they’ll STILL get it. Wish to hell I were fooling...

The first thing I thought was, “Isn’t this a misappropriation of public funds?” How can Schneiderman, a flaming libtard, use taxpayer money to fund a private vendetta?

The ‘RATS are trying to copy the tactics the progressives employed against Sarah Palin in Alaska -— ENDLESS NUISANCE LAWSUITS. Sarah Palin was cleaning up the endemic corruption in Alaska (her version of “draining the swamp”) and the corrupt Alaskans (and that included former Governor Murkowski) did everything they could to get rid of Palin and ultimately succeeded.

I don’t think the ‘RATS will have the same success with Trump — other than in their dreams & fantasies.

"President Trump's approval rating sinks to lowest point ever." This makes Trump vulnerable to impeachment. #Dems

I thought Trump said Presidents are immune from conflict of interest due to some law.

They are. They can only be impeached. Nothing else. If I were a New York taxpayer I’d be hot.

If I were an adviser of his, I would begin the process of making a significant list of people to fire perhaps the Friday afternoon before Easter with some controllable event to suck up the news cycle to follow on that following Monday.

I would also seriously consider trial ballooning a request for opinion from the US Justice Dept on a military investigation of our IC with recommendations on ways to improve processes and identify leakers. We need to introduce a neutral but patriotic third party into this equation because right now I believe the IC elements involved in this investigation are spending 50% of their time on CYA.

I mean, just today, some democrat called for a special prosecutor to look into this because they have “day jobs” so perhaps having a tight and competent group of military investigators with full access to all data the FBI, CIA, NSA has on this matter would vastly improve how quickly they got on the stick and wrapped this up.

No doubt quite a few Repubs will be helping the Prosecutor to get Trump. There are going to make his 4 years non-stop investigations, accusations, fake news. They will have the microphone and the message daily. Unlike our side who say nothing because they are afraid of elections.

It’s amazing, SOS Clinton, her racking in money for her husband et all and no investigations at all. Our side, no one going for Hillary- instead they caved into the investigations regarding Trump/Russia. The Trump and his twitter remark about wire tapping, which brought Comey and Rogers out to say no evidence against Obama.

Even Sessions, WTF is he doing?

The Democrats want war.

The war has already begun. But only one side is fighting.

This is a part of the coup d’etat. Judges are the Dems power base these days. Have to gear up the army of prosecutors and lawyers to get in front of the judges and nullify the democratic process.

We are in a real crisis.

The Republicans impeached thier hero, BJ Clinton, and the Democrats want revenge.

They see President Trump as the hero of the right, so they want to do the same to him.

That’s what this is all about.

This grudge/feud has going on since Booth killed Lincoln.

He’ll go after the edges of anything Trump-related in New York...Dig until they find a smidge, attempt to turn molehill into a mountain. They’ll stoop to going after the kids, in laws and family. In short, anything they think they can get away with..

Cool!

Like The Ugly, Fat Criminal Felonious Cow did for umpteen years?

I am 99.99% sure that the statute of limitations is not even close to being applicable...

Thank you, New Yawkers...
