Josh Mandel will stop at nothing to keep the people of Ohio safe from illegal immigrant crime. But that is a little unusual when you consider that immigration issues dont really fall into his job description.
Mandel is Ohios state treasurer and is currently locked in a political fight with liberal politicians over whether or not two of the Buckeye States biggest cities should help illegals skirt federal law enforcement. He is coming up against a political machine that is thoroughly bipartisan.
Earlier this year, the mayors of Columbus and Cincinnati announced that they wanted their cities to become sanctuary cities municipalities that protect illegal immigrants from the repercussions of obfuscating federal immigration law.

That will save some more of the federal budget...
When is the DOJ going to start indicting those mayors?
More power to Josh. He is not taken seriously, ran unsuccessfully against Sherrod Browns for US Senat5e, and will probably run again. I hope he gets some traction on this, or something.
Every elected official who sides with illegal aliens and their employer against the rule of law and the citizens needs to be removed from office.
MAndel is the treasurer of Ohio, thus CAN control purse strings, yes?
From everything I have read about him, Mandel is a solid conservative. He took on incumbent socialista Sherrod Brown for U.S. Senate in 2012 and lost by only 51%-45%. Mandel has already announced he is running against Brown again next year. Maybe drawing a line in the sand between himself and Brown on immigration will be one of Mandel’s campaign themes.
I am afraid that is up to the state legislature although he can probably slow things down with audits.
