A person might have forgotten how anti-2nd Amendment HGW Bush was.

The best AK is of course the Finnish RK-95 which was made in semi auto as the Sako M92S and that would be a great rifle to reproduce in the US.

Another better alternative is a Galil or in US, a Golani. looks similar to a Valmet, AK based, but better quality and MUCH better sights. Sort of a product improved (by Israelis) AK.

I remember back in 1989 when G. H. W. Bush said, “We’ve got to do something about those automated weapons.” Jackass.

Given a secure or guaranteed supply of 7,62x39mm M43 ammunition, I concur. It's a little heavy, but that helps control the weapon in full-auto fire instead of having to go to the lighter 5,45 cartridge, which milady prefers.

You can also make the argument that the better AK version is the Molot [hammer] RPK, in either semi or selective form and with which, in each of my three examples at least, is capable of one-a-second hits on a man-sized silhouette target at 400 yards for the entire magazine's worth. But it is not for everyone the way the AK is.

Thank you, Mikhael Timofeyavich. I know that you meant for your splendid invention to serve your country's soldiers in the defense of your motherland, but it also serves to help potect three generations of my own family as well. Spasibo, gospodon MikTim!
