I just don’t know who these people are. Funny thing is, I am certain the Left has been creating sites like this (not saying this is one, I just don’t know it at all) for the express purpose of being able to point them out.
I ran into one a couple of months ago right here on FR that I suspected of that. It was a perfectly believable story about a car that ran into a bunch of BLM protesters blocking a highway, killing 3 or 4 of them.
Except it never happened, and the site looked completely legitimate. It was only until you drilled all the way down to the “About Us” link when it became apparent the site was bogus. Not like The Onion, which is satire, and only idiot liberals can’t tell the difference. This site looked and sounded real.
When I gave it some thought in terms of cui bono, I could think of no reason it would benefit a conservative to create that site, but immediately thought of a few reasons leftists would.
These sites are “Agent Provocateur” sites. They are electronic disinformation intended to blur the line between fact and fiction.
