"I felt like someone had punched me in the gut," said Amy Stromberg, a fan visiting from out of town. "It's very disturbing what that flag represents and I thought in South Carolina we were past that now."
The flag could be seen from miles away.

"It's a piece of our heritage. 25,000 South Carolinians died in defense of that flag, and 250,000 southerners," said James Bessenger, chairman of the South Carolina Secessionist Party. "The legislature told us they were going to do it. If you say you're going to do something, I expect you to do it."

Nearly anything that “punches a snowflake liberal in the gut” the way this person describes it is a good thing in my eyes.
“It’s very disturbing what that flag represents and I thought in South Carolina we were past that now.”
It is NOT what the flag represents, but what has been assigned to it. And lately, the same thing has been assigned to the American flag.
I noticed that Hannity had a verbal skit Friday wherein he “virtue signaled” the politically correct meaning to the Confederate flag. He has been taking hits lately, and needed the purification gained from casting aspersions on someone else’s impurity.
These snowflakes have to relax. Spring starts Tuesday. If they don’t get their act together, they will melt.
Oh I’m suffering the vapors..., the very thought!
NOT!
The NCAA wouldn’t know a Confederate flag from a mini-pad.
Time for you to grow up. What happened is part of history.
Their entire existence is founded on pretense and manufactured drama.

Oh noes! OMG!
The cult of the perpetually offended snowflake concern trolls are offended and concerned!
Quick! They need coloring books, blankies, juice boxes, teddy grahams, and a trip to their safe spaces in the wambulance, stat!
The triggering! It burns!
What, no safe place for the snowflakes to hide out in?
what does the flag represent little miss snowflake ?
everyone knows the clan always flew the stars & stripes and never the stars & bars.
It is time for every conservative home to put up a Confederate flag of one sort or another, either the “battle flag” or the Stars and Bars or any of several others. Old state flags that incorporate the Confederate colors also.
Fly the flag!
It rots my socks that the Greenville police chief claims “safety concerns” about the flagpole breaking. Complete horse puckey. This was just an excuse to move the flag to a place wher it couldn’t be so easily seen.
Some people would even complain being hanged with a new rope!
*****
Hang the Flag upside, would anyone notice? /s ;^}
There are plenty of them in the historic cemetery near the Greek Orthodox Church in Greenville - at least there were at Labor Day when we were there.
My sister-in-law is attending the games today with her sister - I’ll have to see if she is responsible for this... LOL.
Plus, the ever politically correct Mark Emert of the NCAA can kiss my rosy red alpha.
Pretty soon, he’s going to run out of states to boycott.
Perhaps it’s time for schools like Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, Clemson, Florida, Georgia and others to boycott NCAA championships.
“I felt like someone had punched me in the gut,” said Amy Stromberg...”
Come to my house, I show you what punch in gut feel like, ha, ha!
Those flags are all over, not just SC.
But the rainbow flag is fine. Screw the whiners.
