The Environmental Protection Agency awarded Michigan $100 million in grant money to replace the Flint water system’s damaged infrastructure. The Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation Act of 2016 provided the funding for this grant that would help Flint replace its lead water pipes that have fallen into disrepair, the EPA said in a statement.

EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt said this grant is part of the Trump administration’s goal to improve the country’s water infrastructure.

“EPA will especially focus on helping Michigan improve Flint’s water infrastructure as part of our larger goal of improving America’s water infrastructure,” Pruitt said.

Michigan Republicans and Democrats praised the EPA’s decision to fund efforts to repair Flint’s water system.

Proof that Trump is a not racist that will be ignored.
Proof that Trump takes action to get real things done that benefit Americans that will be ignored.
Proof that the new EPA is not going to neglect people’s water that will be ignored.

Flint water problems are flint citizen water problems. It is unconstitutional and immoral for dt’s EPA to seize my property to give to flint citizens.

Odd isn’t it?

Obama did nothing tangible to help Flint with their water problems while it took only 2 months for Trump [who is being harassed every day] to zero in on some financing for a replacement water treatment plant.

Obama really is/was a zero.

That’s a helluva lot of money.

Better it go to fixing water systems than “proving global warming is real”...

Hey Donny, why am I going to work to give black dems in Flint my money?

President Trump is keeping his promises to Michigan, which you'd think would've fared better with Obama. Michigan needs that water supply fixed, invaders removed, and manufacturing jobs. If he can do all that, it's overall a "win" for the economy.

Flint is a dead rustbelt city that was built by General Motors in the early 20th century. It is now an industrial wasteland with a dwindling population and crumbling infrastructure. Like Detroit, Pontiac, Saginaw, Muskegon, and Bay City, these cities are one trick ponies, and without the industrial base that financed them, they just need to be cast aside and left to rot into the ground.

Oh, and these cities are the target destination for the fed importation of “refugees” and illegal DACA dreamers, turning these cities into unrecognizable by American standards third world shitholes.

As a disclaimer, I grew up in Pontiac, MI. I saw all of this starting to unfold in the early 1990’s.

Flint water problems are flint citizen water problems. It is unconstitutional and immoral for dt’s EPA to seize my property to give to flint citizens.

The local community went to the EPA when they werent getting answers from local or state goverment. And Obama's EPA basically ignored them or didnt do anything.

Yes, the city of Flint is responsible and I believe there are lawsuits and people are in jail. But, IMO we or EPA should pay for this

Every municipality in the country needs to be competent and self-reliant in handling its own water needs. This is not a proper federal role!

It’s OK, he is just using the Money we are saving by gutting the EPA.

What has that Federal Department done for Flint, even under a Socialist POTUS, NOTHING.

President Trump said we were going to fix it when he was Campaigning. He won and he is doing what he said.

Most Transparent Administration ever.

Most everything the Federal Government has and continues to do is Unconstitutional, but here we are. Both Parties have insured that Federalism is not in their self interest.

Now let’s see if the Media picks up this story like they would have done if Obama or (shudder) Hillary had done the same thing.

So the EPA is going to be allowed to continue effing-up everything it touches?
How terribly depressing.
