America won independance from the U.K., a European power, 240 years and can arguably have been said to surpass the U.K. and most of Europe as a whole by the end of the American Civil War in 1865 just 89 years after decalring independance in 1776. Why would we try to emulate the politics and the philosophy of losers?
Ironically, importing the Continent’s bad ideas is exactly what America’s philosophy professors did late 1800’s-1900’s. The German philosophy that led to Weimar and the Holocaust has led us to the precipice.
