In his first sit-down interview since becoming secretary of state, Rex Tillerson spoke with Independent Journal Review's Erin McPike about the challenges of American diplomacy with China, the imminent threat of North Korea's nuclear capabilities, and his reasoning behind his limited press access.
This interview was provided to the traveling press.

TRANSCRIPT:
Erin McPike: First of all, let me just ask you since the South Korean newspaper reported that you cancelled dinner because of fatigue, and then they said you spent more time with the Japanese than the South Koreans. What happened?
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson: They never invited us for dinner, then at the last minute they realized that optically it wasnt playing very well in public for them, so they put out a statement that we didnt have dinner because I was tired.
EM: So are you saying they lied about it?
RT: No, it was just their explanation.

Ping.
It is clear that T-Rex is in charge, not some reporter. Although they will try to be and try to make POLs stumble.
Tillerson is no green POL. He knows what he is doing and has a clear perception of the realities of the world.
He is going to be a great SOS. (shudder to even think about his predecessor)
Brilliant of IJR to put the whole thing online.
From the interview:
“...all of the tactics and all of the things we’re going to do you will know them after theyve happened. ...”
Good on SoS Tillerson telling the media ‘report, don’t speculate’.
