WASHINGTON — The United States military said that it had carried out an airstrike against a meeting of Qaeda militants on Thursday in Syria and that a number of the extremists had been killed.
The American military statement came as Syria activists reported that a mosque had been bombed and that scores of innocent civilians had been killed and wounded.
A spokesman for the United States Central Command said the American aircraft had struck a nearby building, but did not hit the mosque.
“We did not target any mosques,” said Col. John J. Thomas, a spokesman for the Central Command, which has responsibility for American military missions in the Middle East. “What we did target was destroyed. There is a mosque within 50 feet of that building that is still standing.”

We need to stop his foolishness and bomb any place they are hiding.
If it a Mosque so be it they well stop using them for shelter.
They need to understand there is no safe place.

Islam is not innocent, especially in the ME.
What does location have to do with it?
Mosques in the ME seem to be ammo dumps frequently. Especially as they knew that Hussein’s RoE exempted them as ammo sanctuaries from any targeting.

Of all the videos I’ve seen of air strikes in the Middle East it seems we’re extremely careful NOT to hit them.

Well Shoot fire and save matches, what is war all about? It’s a shame some women and children MAY have been killed. It doesn’t seem terrible to the media when women and children are raped and butchered with dull knives, it doesn’t bother that girls were caged, had oil poured over them and torched. It doesn’t bother that antique churches were destroyed, but to bomb a MOSQUE is beyond horror!
