The answer is you shoot the annoying minor celebrity ... twice ... just to be sure. Of course, if you really were in that scenario, you'd shoot Hitler and Stalin and make sure that they died, but the joke was that the annoying minor celebrity was just that obnoxious.
I feel that way about a lot of libertarians. The ones who say immigration isn't a problem; we just have to get rid of the welfare state. Or that the problem with free trade is that there's just not enough of it. Or that we were free once and Lincoln made us all slaves. Or that John Tyler or Martin Van Buren was the greatest president. Such Libertarians aren't the most wrong-headed people or even the most obnoxious people in politics, but they wear out their welcome pretty fast.
I'm starting to feel that way about Evan McMuffin. He doesn't get that his background in the CIA and investment banking doesn't make him somebody people want to listen to -- rather the reverse. He doesn't understand that his articles and TV appearances hurt whatever cause he claims to represent. He's just that annoying.

If conservatives can rally around a replacement to Hatch, this guy might siphon enough votes to make it more likely for the conservative to win. I’d support Hatch over this buffoon, but I would prefer to primary him with a conservative.
