Europe headed for 'religion wars' despite Wilders' stumble, Turkish minister says

Anti-Islam politician Geert Wilders may have fallen short in this week's election in the Netherlands, but his views were shared by all the Dutch parties and are pushing Europe towards "wars of religion", Turkey's foreign minister said on Thursday.

Centre-right Prime Minister Mark Rutte fended off the Wilders challenge in a victory hailed across Europe by governments facing a rising wave of nationalism.

The reaction in Ankara was less sanguine. Turkey has been locked in a deepening row with the Netherlands after the Dutch barred Turkish ministers from holding rallies among overseas Turks.

"Many parties have received a similar share of votes. Seventeen percent, 20 percent, there are lots of parties like this, but they are all the same," Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said at a rally in the southern city of Antalya.

"There is no difference between the mindsets of Geert Wilders and social democrats in the Netherlands. They all have the same mindset ... That mindset is taking Europe to the cliff. Soon wars of religion may and will start in Europe."

I wanted Geert to win. He’s the only sane leader over there.
If the other parties share his view, its probably because Geert was saying it first.

Like ww1 and ww2, it’s these idiots in Europe that start the trouble. Here they are again, communism/fascism brewing...all in the guise of “multiculturalism”.

And, when it gets bad, the bad guys are going to overwhelmingly nuke the USA and make us irrelevant in their Apocalypse.

The DOG just thinks he want a war. With the US, he will regret it.

Notice he picks on defenseless unarmed civilians, he cries and moans and calls terrorist everyone who disagrees with him. He fears what happens if Kurds are given freedom and blossom as a nation. In a few short years with the right breaks, Turkey might be in trouble, if they keep pounding the same stupid drum.

W. Europe is no longer what I would consider a solidly Christian area.

Atheism is through the roof.

Wouldn’t be much of a holy war.

When 100s of German men march in mini skirts to protest rape instead of beating the #### out of the muzzies, I tend to be doubtful of their resolve.

If it comes to that.so be it.Let's hope that Europeans haven't lost their desire for a civilized, peaceful culture. If they have lost it Europe is in store for a Dark Age the likes of which can only be appreciated in history books.

I gotta say, that Turkish minister is uncommonly perceptive.

There is no way to split the differences that lie between Islam and any of the other major religions of the world. “Co-exist” simply does not apply to Sharia law, and that code is inseparable from Islam.

When you have cockroaches in the house, the course of action is clear. Cockroaches do not share living arrangements.

So other arrangements shall have to be made.

Well, given the religious state of the Europe, it will be Moslems vs. Atheists and Agnostics.

I will tell you this, I’m Swedish, and there are plenty of people in Europe that are just absolutely hunky dory with this open borders crap, socialism, yada yada. Just like here....

In the face of recent events, you just sit dumbfounded wondering why people are so damn stupid.

Sadly, the end result is going to be bloodshed on a truly Biblical scale.

Be interesting to see what the numbers start looking like of Western Europeans leaving their countries for safer pastures. Hungary and Israel have called out openly for people to “come home”. Hungary is open for business and wants all the conservatives, their money, and their intellectual capital. If Hitlery had won, I contemplated moving to Poland or Hungary from the USA. I have a EU passport so...

They wouldn’t have to have wars of religion if they did not import so many Muslims into Netherlands and Europe as a whole.

The Dutch (and Europeans in general) made that choice.

There is a lesson to be learned here.

I hope Trump notices all that is happening in Europe and the reaction of dark, sinister and MUSLIM Turkey.

Near the end of the election the other parties were saying a lot of what Wilders was saying. He got them to move to his position. They did so to get votes. Watch them backtrack now

Well what liberals do - march and hope their antagonists will see the folly of their ways and desist.

Interesting you’d say that; when Turks first started appearing in Germany in larger numbers (1970s), the people referred to them as cockroaches.
