Saudi Prince Emerges from Meeting with Trump Using Words Like 'Unprecedented' and 'Unimaginable'
Independent Journal Review ^ | 03/16/2017 | Jason Howerton

Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman praised President Donald Trump’s “great understanding” of the Middle East and even defended his administration’s so-called travel ban.

The glowing statement came after Prince Salman’s meeting with Trump to discuss relations between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia.

According to the statement, the meeting “put things on the right track“ and “marked a significant shift in relations, across all political, military, security and economic fields,” all due to “President Trump’s great understanding of the importance of relations between the two countries and his clear sight of problems in the region.”

Salman and Trump discussed the controversial travel ban that critics have claimed is “anti-Muslim.” Salman apparently disagrees:

Saudi Arabia does not believe that this measure is targeting Muslim countries or the religion of Islam. This measure is a sovereign decision aimed at preventing terrorists from entering the United States of America. President Trump expressed his deep respect for the Religion of Islam, considering it one of the divine religions that came with great human principles kidnapped by radical groups."

Prince Salman also apparently told Trump that “information from Saudi Arabia confirms indeed the existence of a plot against the United States of America that has been planned in those countries in secret by those groups that took advantage of what they assume a security weakness to conduct operations against the United States of America.”

“His Excellency expressed his understanding and support for this vital and urgent precaution measure to protect the United States of America from expected terrorist operations,” the statement added.

After the meeting, Prince Salman noted that Trump's attitude toward Islam did not match the media's portrayal of the president:

Prince Mohammed Bin Salman expressed, after the meeting, his satisfaction with the positive attitude and clarifications he heard from President Trump about his stance on Islam, which runs against what the media promoted about the President, stressing that his Excellency President Trump has an unprecedented and serious intention to work with the Muslim World and to achieve its interests and that Prince Mohammed considers his Excellency as a true friend of Muslims who will serve the Muslim World in an unimaginable manner, opposite to the negative portrait of his Excellency that some have tried to promote whether through publishing unjust statements that are taken out of their context or by means of unrealistic media commentaries and analyses about his Excellency.

Trump earned additional praise for his “efforts to improve the climate for investments” in the United States. The two leaders reportedly discussed “huge Saudi investments” in the U.S. and giving American companies the chance to enter the Saudi market.

I’d be happier is the Saudi “prince” was shocked and dismayed.

Did he say anything about the 3000 dead on 911 and the trillions in losses our economy took?

What does one expect Trump to do? Tell the Prince to his face that Islam is an evil, intolerant religion and their prophet is a pedophile? Yeah that would be the truth, but where does that get you?

Sometimes, one has to choose one’s battles and WHERE and WHEN to fight them.

considering it one of the divine religions

No ... that wasn't God gibbering in Mad Mo's ear. It wasn't one of His angels, either.

The last 8, maybe the last 30 years, have seen total mediocrity in the white house and other leaders of this country. Trump is raising the bar.

Last night’s rally was pure Trump. No other leader in my lifetime speaks as frankly as he does.

He’s on a mission. I don’t see him caving on anything that is important to him.

He reminds you of someone who has experienced success.

This Saudi Prince just complete undermined the left’s argument that Trump’s travel ban is a muslim ban.

The last 28 have seen some mediocrity—if you want to characterize it all as such, I’d say that Obama took medioctiry to a new low.

I’m going to try to get on the Rush limbaugh show tomorrow and advocate that the trump administration have a green earth green mars policy. that is kill the cost of desalination and transport on earth, turn the deserts green and double the size of habitable earth. Once the technology to do this had been developed on earth—use it on Mars.

I believe if we were energy independent on 9-11, the ME would look very different right now.
