I don't know about the EPA, but without the environmental regulations we would be a heck of a lot more polluted.
We would not be able to see the mountains in Los Angeles. As a kid growing up in Los Angeles, I did not even realize some of those mountains were there until years later when the air was finally cleaned up.

You forgot your /s tag at the end of the sentence.
No one’s opposed to basic environmental regulations, but the EPA is a gigantic wasteful inefficient bureaucracy that has become an obstacle to progress.
Ahh ... you do realize that CO2 in the atmosphere doesn’t keep you from seeing the mountains? And that CO2 in the air is not poisoning you?
What EPA did years ago was mostly good. What it is attempting to now is mostly NOT GOOD but is part of the campaign to weaken and diminish America and impoverish its citizens.
“As a kid growing up in Los Angeles, I did not even realize some of those mountains were there until years later when the air was finally cleaned up.”
That was completely true.
Just a few miles from the San Gabriel mountains and most days you couldn’t see them.
Now only a few days a year is it too smoggy to see them.
And all that air was cleaned up with Catalyctic COnverters and Electronic Fuel Injection in the mid 80,s. We cleaned up Car Exhaust bu 95%, The problem is the EPA has Literally tried to Destroy this COuntry in their effort to achieve the last 5%, which is simply IMPOSSIBLE.
With everything they hove done since 1990, they shaved off another 1/2% of emissions.
“We would not be able to see the mountains in Los Angeles.”
California has the strictest environmental laws in the country and six of the ten top pollutes cities in the country.
Sort of like Chicago with the most stringent gun control laws and the top murder rate.
