Patients should be prepared for future meetings with their doctors to include discussions of global warming.
Under a political advocacy campaign launched Wednesday, a coalition of physician groups will tell the public that their health is threatened by catastrophic man-made global warming, also called climate change.
The Medical Society Consortium on Climate & Health is led by Dr. Mona Surfaty, Director of the Program on Climate and Health in the Center for Climate Change Communication at George Mason University.
"Here's the message from America's doctors on climate change: it's not only happening in the Arctic Circle, it's happening here,” Surfaty said in the press release. “It's not only a problem for us in 2100, it's a problem now. And it's not only hurting polar bears, it's hurting us.”

No, that is a lie, or as you could say “fake news”. It is NOT a message from “America’s doctors”, just a political message from some doctors on a political agenda.
It is bad enough with many of them asking and lecturing about guns because it is one of the questions in several electronic medical records systems.
Are they going to take up the whole ten minutes with political BS?
What a dork. First of all, I generally avoid women doctors but if the doctor began talking about that with me, I’d either leave, or tell them to stop, that I didn’t come there for their leftist lunacy, and if they don’t stop, I won’t pay the bill.
If my doctor ask me something like global warming, my parents will tell him ‘WTF does it have to do if CT is healthy or not!’
