NUMBER OF ABORTIONS IN RUSSIA HALVED IN FOUR YEARS
Orthodox Ethos ^ | 02-07-2017

The number of abortions in Russia has been cut in half over the past four years, Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova told Interfax-Religion recently.

Speaking at the conference “On creating conditions for increasing the birthrate in the Russian Federation,” the ministry head stated that they will continue working fervently to continue minimizing the rate: “We will, undoubtedly, proceed further in this direction. Over the past four years the number of abortions in our country has decreased twice over, so there is still room for movement, and we will be moving in that direction.”

Skvortsova noted that 2016 was a “very significant” year, the number of abortions reducing by 96,300 (13%). In previous years the average drop was 8%, for example, by 67,000 in 2015. “I’m very pleased,” she said, “that of these ninety-odd thousand, the number of abortions by desire, that is, without any medical condition, decreased by 72,000.”

The minister also noted that they will continue to work towards reducing the infant mortality rate, with the help of recently opened prenatal centers in various regions where the rate is somewhat higher.

Russia once again confounds conservatives.

I watched some clowns from the National Review yesterday call Putin a “nasty, brutal killer” who “ruled over a repressive society.”

Putin gives out state medals to parents who have seven children.

Sounds like Putin is pro-life.

Neocon chickenhawks must have their two minutes a day to hate Emmanuel Goldstein. After all, we have always been at war with Eastasia.

All Western countries need to take their fertility rates seriously.
More than just a moral issue, this is a national security issue.

Well, Putin isn’t a saint, that’s for sure.
But I like the way he is pro-Russia. It is nice to have a President who as Pro-USA as Putin is Pro-Russia.
Putin’s nationalism is probably what offends the globalist goblins in the offices of NRO. Ditto for President Trump.

No wonder today’s liberals don’t like Russia anymore. Abortion is a sacrament to them. Back in the bad old days of the USSR, a typical Russian woman could have six abortions because no other form of birth control was available.

Agreed. Russia was just about the only traditional, sovereign nation state that was in a position to defy the push towards transnational, globalist government as pushed by the EU and the Bush I through Obama administrations. There is China, but it is a hybrid and sort of stands outside the conversation.

The United States could easily shatter globalist hubris and pretensions, but the four administrations between Reagan and Trump were fully and overtly aligned with those malignant doctrines. I am hoping, and confident, that the Trump administration will continue to dismantle globalist agendas, agencies and policies.

The stylish West also hates Russia for the limit drawn on homoprop being pushed at minors. All of the current hatred boiled over around the Sochi event, and the terribad Russians being “homophobic”. This is ironic, as homosexuality in the Soviet Union was a felony, but irony is lost on this rotted dominant culture.

Sadly, the USA (or its elites and deep state/uniparty) LEADS the globalist, secular, financialized, one-world movement. its all for maintenance of the Empire.

It’s a world turned upside down. I get more real news from R.T. tv than most American networks. Their headline news is spot on. Live reports every night from mosel. Reporters comparing usa tv outrage over Aleppo vs no coverage at all on mosal. Worth watching.

I know. It would go nowhere without US money, influence, and military coercion applied as needed. However the tide may have turned, at last.

I am not that hopeful, I am afraid.
Congress and the bureaucracy are firmly in the hands of the globalists. They are going to do everything they can, esp. the bureaucrats who are protected by the Civil Service Act.
