The main roads are cut out of Mosul, and Iraqi Security Forces maintain a high pace of operation clearing Western Mosul.

Amid heavy fighting in the Old Town (the toughest terrain in the city) the ISIS Commander (Abu Abdul Rahman al-Ansary) was reported killed today, and 90% of the Old Town is now reported captured from ISIS. This was expected to be the toughest part of the fight for Western Mosul.

Read all the side stories about IS leaders killed both in Mosul and Tal Afar region. If accurate, Al-Baghadi got
bagged”, the ISIS leader in Mosul is toast, and several key foreign ISIS “experts” were turned into maggot lunch.

If these leaders were actually killed, then ISIS, as an organized entity in that region has seen its key leadership command decapitated in less than one week.
