Then you're fully aware that when Oliver Wendell Holmes used the "fire in a crowded theater" quote in
U.S. v. Schenck that it was dicta and did not have the force of law. On top that that
U.S. v. Schenck itself was overturned by
Brandenburg v. Ohio.
Some lawyer using dicta from an overturned case to make a point.

“Nice pearl necklace.”
Probably the only kind she’s ever had.

Why do you keep posting that case. Media may broadcast / publish information even if it was illegally acquired. So even if someone at the IRS broke the law by leaking Trump's tax returns, MSNBC is fully protected by the 1st Amendment when it broadcasts it.
I know that I'm a huge supporter of Free Speech. That makes a lot of Freepers angry.

he thinks Trump dropped them off himselfYeah...President Trump, several dozen Secret Service agents, the guy with the "football", the ambulance that always follows the president, and assorted others in his entourage. They all piled into the motorcade and whizzed over to that reporter dude's house because he's just so special. /s

Free Speech does not allow you to violate State Law in this instance.
What don’t you understand about the rights of the States to protect SSN.
AN EXAMPLE
http://law.justia.com/codes/alaska/2011/title45/chapter45-48/sec-45-48-400
I don’t care how many times you post that case..it is not a SSN case. It doesn’t apply here. It doesn’t override the right of the State to protect their citizens.

I don’t think Rachel can be considered a journalist in this setting and not sure the first amendment would protect her or her sources. She is an entertainer, and political pundit EXPRESSING her personal opinion for MSNBC.

MSNBC has committed no crime and is fully protected by the 1st Amendment.Good Lord! Give it a rest already. So what? We all know the media is rarely held accountable for the damage they cause to individuals and society as a whole. No need beating this particular dead horse again and again.
To: Paladin2
That is what they are hoping for. Paying taxes is obviously an impeachable offense in their mind
Headlines on Drudge
TRUMP PAID HIGHER TAX RATE [25%] THAN MSNBC COMCAST [24%]... MUCH HIGHER THAN OBAMA [19%]... AND BERNIE [13%]!
MADDOW MOCKED...

Hillary claimed Trump 'paid nothing in federal taxes'...

I'm not going to look in Alaksa's Trade and Commerce law, but I'm guessing it applies to entities that have a duty to protect SSNs.
A couple of other points:
1. Rachel Maddow is not in Alaska.
2. Rachel Maddow says she'll release tax returns, not SSNs.

Then they are committing a felony. We are ALL protected by the first amendment. But we can't buy information that is otherwise illegal to disseminate.

This could be a double-whammy. A win by having a leak found in the IRS or elsewhere (how else would Trump know to release the information when he did) and the embarrassment of the left-wing media again when they discover that Trump paid more than his fair share.

Why even respond to these morons? Tax returns from 10 years ago?
Why would Trump even care? It comes off as whiny and complaining about nothing if there’s nothing in them.
