A private business should be able to hire who they want, and serve who they want. They should be able to make their own rules on what their employees can and cannot wear.
Sure. But a private company shouldn’t act like a dumbass, either. The court is defending the right of a private company to forbid its employees to be themselves. They can do that, I suppose, but it’s a bad policy for a private company. They have a right to go out of business and lay everyone off, too, or to run up expenses ‘til the company goes bankrupt. They can also run advertising campaigns saying that their products cause the Big C and foot fungus, and warning the public to never ever buy it.
