Michael Brown was shot because he committed felony assault on a LEO and attempted to disarm him, refused that same LEO’s orders to surrender, and was in the process of attempting to assault the officer once again.
Whatever happened in the store had no bearing on Officer Wilson’s decision to shot him. Brown provided all the justification needed by his actions at the scene of the shooting.
