Agreed.

The problem here is not Trump.

But he does have to be careful, because the GOP detests him, and will use this to hurt him.

Agreed. But I think Trump can handle the GOPe just fine. He’s always several moves ahead. They play checkers, he plays 3d chess.

My mind keeps going back to the fact that he built a multi billion dollar company. You don’t accomplish that without learning how to handle backstabbers and other evil doers. In the business world, when you have Trump money, the barbarians are always at the gate, trying to relieve you of it all.

I agree with you. I think they want to dash his hopes of re-election in 2020, and what better way than to sabotage him with this boondoggle of a so-called, repeal and replace health-care bill? Trump should wise up and never trust Ryan. Ryan is that snake from the poem that Trump so often recited.

Trump needs to veto anything that is not a full repeal. Anything he accepts hil be attributed to him. He will own it and any tweak/fudge rename of obamacare will bung hung around his neck if he allows it and the act of accepting a bad bill will make it harder to get anything else. Unfortunately, so long as he plays by the rules he cannot accomplish anything long term. He can get the nation a breathing space of a few years but as soon as he is gone it will all be status quo ante very quickly.
