Another good argument for raising the voting age to 25!

Yes...I was thinking 25 or 30...
We’ve in infantalized kids so much in the past 50 years...they can’t even enter college with basic math or writing...or Civics education ...sheesh.

And a federal voter identification card required. In order to get the card, one must provide proof of citizenship, ability to communicate in English, proof of permanent residence with deed or executed lease, and proof of payment of federal income taxes. In case liberals might object, I’d point out that there would be no poll tax.

Better idea: follow Robert Heinlein's philosophy of government in Starship Troopers. NO voting rights whatsoever unless a person earns citizenship by serving at least two years voluntarily in the military. Same with eligibility to run for public office (which would disqualify Pelosi, Waters, Franken, Schumer, and a lot of others).

Mr. DuBois' lecture to his students encapsulates why this would be a good thing. Indeed, his discussion of the failures of American society at the turn of the twentieth century are downright prophetic.

Exactly. Move it back to 21.

There are far too many snowflakes out there.

I wish it could be limited to people who have to pay a rental or mortgage payment each month.

Only responsible people need apply.

Bad credit, so sorry... you’re out!

The Democrats once again show their lack of vision. Lowering the age to -1/2 would allow aborted babies to vote by proxy (much like the dead do now) and generate a whole new Democrat voting block.

Lowering the age much further would start to bring questions that the fetus was actually a person which could get messy for them.
